3 Ways to Market Yourself

Uncategorized Jul 16, 2019

3 Ways to Market Yourself

In this competitive day and age, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate yourself from the rest of your field. That's the exact reason why you need to market yourself effectively. Yet, many shy away for fear of looking arrogant or that promoting yourself is a sign of incompetence or inexperience. We beg to differ.

Imagine you’ve created a brilliant product, but you fail to market it to the best of your abilities. You’d be doing a disservice to yourself because your innovation would go to waste, and your product, as it wouldn’t be able to reach its full potential. Now you may argue that if the product were so good, there would be no need to promote it. Perhaps you’d be right if you were already an established figure in the market. However, if you aren’t, like the majority, consumers aren't likely to use your product as they wouldn’t know its story or capabilities.

The same principle...

Humans vs AI: Workplace Battles

Uncategorized Jul 09, 2019

In 2014, the great Stephen Hawking made a bold, alarming, and disturbing statement,

"The development of full artificial intelligence (AI) could spell the end of the human race." (Source)

Thankfully, 5 years on, we’re still here. It’s true, however, that AI and other forms of technology are much more prevalent now than it was in 2014. In this blog, we’ll be sharing how humans can still play an integral part in businesses and the way we work.

One of the most important things to recognise is that AI should be developed to augment humans, not to replace us altogether. Humans should continue to develop critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills. AI and other technology could then be brought to execute the ideas. For example, Amazon now has 100,000 robots in operation, which has shortened training for holiday workers to less than two days.

One industry that is suffering from job loss as a result of AI is journalism. Automated news articles are...

My 3 biggest insights from Tony Robbins' Business Mastery 2019

Uncategorized Jul 08, 2019

I want to share my three biggest insights that I've learnt from Business Mastery with you.

The first insight which changes a lot of things for me, is that when it comes to business, there are basically three kinds of entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs are the three different kinds of business owners.

The first is what you'd call an artist and a lot of business owners are actually just artists or skilled producers. He is a hairstylist, a coach, baker, etc who actually started his own business, simply because he is tired of working for someone else.

The second kind of business owner is the manager leader. The manager leader is the person who actually manages a lot of the back-end stuff, handles the time for the artists to do things.

The third and the last is the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur is the one that has the vision for the company, and is willing to take on big risks.

So, it's kind of like all three of them form a great team, there's no real hierarchy but all...

The 5 Types of Coaches: Who, Why, & When You Need Them

Uncategorized Jul 02, 2019

It’s a competitive world out there, and it can be tricky navigating through unfamiliar terrain on your own. Heck, even “self-made” millionaires need coaches or mentors. Timothy Kim is one such example, and he said in an interview, “You can’t succeed in life without having great coaches.” (source)

At different stages of your career or endeavour, you would benefit from different types of coaches to help you maximise your development. Today, we’ll take a look at 5 different coaching styles, and why and when you need them.

The first type of coach and perhaps the most commonly-sought after is the Educator. The educator is someone whose style is meant to teach you, often early on in your career or endeavour. Educators identify your strengths and what you’re doing well, but also your shortcomings. They’ll pick out areas for improvement and come up with different strategies to help you learn and grow. You would hugely...

Should you stay with your parents or move out?

Uncategorized Jul 01, 2019

Today’s question is either to stay with your parents or to move out? This topic is pretty interesting as many of the youngsters tackle this question especially in Asia as it is Asian, Singaporean type of culture where you feel obligated to stay with your parents until you get married and buy your own house which is pretty expensive in these places. So people end up staying with their parents for a really long time.

Usually these things happen when you stay with your parents, right.

The first thing is your parents actually want the best for their kids but the truth is they don’t have right framework to see the world from new generation point of view and it gets pretty complicated. It get hard to make your own decision when you stay with your parents and they definitely try to impose certain beliefs and decisions onto you and you also try to impose your beliefs on them which brings a lot of resentment in the relationship and can actually turn out to lot of conflicts.

5 ways to channel your feminine energy

Uncategorized Jun 25, 2019

Last week we wrote about how powerful feminine energy is. This week we're going to discuss how you can channel your feminine energy in healthy mature ways.

1. Dance (or move in any way that makes you feel good)

Feminine energy is fluid; it's always moving. Hurricanes are often named after females because it is the perfect metaphor for the constantly in motion, constantly changing, and shifting feminine energy.

This is especially important for feminine people who work desk-bound jobs. You may notice that it feel unnatural to sit in one spot for long and that's because your natural self wants to move around.

If you are unable to get up and dance in the middle of work, we recommend listening to this song and just tap your feet along to it.

2. Have Girl Time

It's no secret that feminine people love to talk and connect with other people.  Spending time with your girlfriends recharges your feminine energy massively because not only will you be surrounded by people who have...

6 days into a 7-day fast and what I learned

Uncategorized Jun 24, 2019

Seven day water fast can be a great challenge for losing weight. Even though it is not as easy as practically, you need strong dedication and determination to complete it. At some point you may think to give up and eat some food but whenever such thought exists in your mind just remember that you have your name, reputation and discipline that you have made and have to keep maintaining it completing the task without any cheating. Just keep going on and keep doing it.

It's actually not that difficult, because like when your body says it's hungry, you can separate that from your mind, and your mind doesn't have to focus on the body. And if you don't put in my body, you can kind of see it here.

When you don’t focus on any relationships or hunger, you focus on other things in life. Once you complete the challenge you would be considered super disciplined since only one percent or less people can stay and complete this challenge. Once you could make through this, you will gain more...
